Stand-up show
Dr. Umesh

Dieting ka Mazaak

At the risk of sounding thoda sa pompous let me say this - this is India's first health themed comedy special that dives into humorous realities of dieting, weight loss and health trends.💯

It is a 60 minutes of laughter riot as I roast all the Dieting myths and Fads on social media jisko dekhke aapke dimag me aata hai “Kya dieting ka mazaak banake rakha hai yaar!”

Real Experiences

Comic timing and jokes were good. Could have contained more information on diet through jokes. Rajan was first time but good. He needs to improve eye contact with audience and delivery of punches. Umesh was a pro but could have been less fidgety. Overall super. Ye dil mange more

Sharmin Patel

It was a very relatable topic with a very naughty approach by Dr Umesh wadhwani .A unique experience. And my friend who happened to be visiting me from Canada could Also relate to it and had some good laughs .So all in all an absolute thumbs 👍 up

I went to watch ‘Dieting ka Mazaak’ and honestly didn’t expect Papa Protein to roast junk food and our guilty eating habits with such perfect timing. If you’ve ever tried dieting (and failed gloriously), this show hits home. A refreshing concept that is definitely worth catching live.

Burhanuddin Rampurwala

Umesh nailed it—his take on dieting was fresh, hilarious, and totally unexpected. Never thought I’d laugh this hard about calorie counting and cheat meals! 😄The show was not just funny, it was relatable, smart, and full of surprises.Enjoyed every minute. Hats off, Umesh—this was comedy with flavor! 👏🍽️

More About Me!

My name is Umesh Wadhavani

I am a Doctor but I don’t practice medicine.

I am a Nutritionist but I don’t give out diet plans.

Aap bhi meri mom ki tarah soch rahe honge ke “Jadda tu kandho chha aahi”? (my mom thinks in Sindhi)

It simply means “Paagal insaan toh tu karta kya hai”

Well, I help people become self dependent when it comes to eating and living healthy. I do that via different ways - personal consultation, coaching, masterclasses and short courses.

If you know me even a little, you might be aware that I go out of my way to make things interesting to listen to.

I like to use:

-funny examples

-outrageous hooks

-creative analogies

-bollywood movie references

So that anything I say becomes much more interesting and easier to listen to.

I’m a firm believer that if you serve information with humour, it makes it more accessible for people and people are more receptive to that information. Esp when the topic ias as dry as Nutrition and Health.

I’ve done 1000+ sessions in the last 6 years, and I saw a pattern emerging in all of them, a few moments where people started laughing, which made me believe in it more and more.

I noted those moments down, made a 60-minute set, and I did my first-ever standup at Habitat Mumbai in January this year.

Got great feedback, everyone loved it, and so did I.

Cut to July:

-a team of 600+ people (10x my first gig)

-a 90 min set (2x my first gig)

-a whole lot of laughter (100x my first gig)

Uske baad humne 4 aur shows kiye HR college in Mumbai, Orange Comedy Club in Pune, Global Happiness Festival in Jaipur and most recently Nitrro Gym in Pune.

To watch a random thought of “blending education with entertainment” come to life in front of a huge audience was something truly magical <3
